Last Chance Chapel is a Christ following, Bible-believing, world embracing country church. We believe that Jesus is Lord and serving Him is the reason for our existence. We forever rejoice for His saving us from our sin.
Our purpose and mission as a local church is to love God and love people. The best way to do that is
through Simplicity, Sincerity, and Sacrifice. Our desire is to honor Christ by trusting and living by His Word in
our daily, real lives, and we have found that being part of a local body of believers, we can do so much more
together than we can alone.

Dear Church Family,
Happy Mother’s Day! We are blessed in this church to have so many mothers and matriarchs, both physically and spiritually. The Bible uses the word “mother” more than 300 times and God even describes Himself as comforting His people as a mother comforts her child (Isa. 66). It has been a blessing to me to watch, all my life, different women in this assembly that care for, comfort, and speak words of truth to their family in Christ.
Paul tells us in 1 Timothy to treat the older women in our churches as mothers. That probably doesn’t mean we should expect them to clean up after us! We ought to treat them with the utmost respect and dignity. We ought to greet them with gladness and be on our best behavior. We ought to stand up when they enter a room, take off our hats (or at least tip them), hold the door for them, and be clean and combed and smelling good! 😆
Proverbs 30 says there is a generation that “doesn’t bless their mother.” Let not that be our generation. Let us be full of thankfulness as Timothy must have been, for the legacy of faith that his grandmother and his mother passed down to him, and may the legacy keep going strong for the generations ahead.
To all the mothers at LCC, thank you and we love you! (Also, sorry about the carpet stains, the cups we leave out, and for breaking your favorite dishes!)
-joseph
